USPACOM Commander Awards Legion of Merit to Former Commander, Royal Brunei Armed Forces

Admiral Harry B. Harris, Jr, Commander, U.S. Pacific Command, presents the Legion of Merit to Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, former Commander, Royal Brunei Armed Forces, at a special event hosted at the residence of U.S. Ambassador to Brunei Craig Allen. Adm. Harris is visiting Brunei to further meaningful engagement on economic and security cooperation with the sultanate. The United States and Brunei have benefited from a mutual friendship since 1850, and a security partnership since 1994.
