COLOMBO, Sri Lanka - Representatives from the Sri Lanka Navy, Marine Environmental Protection Agency, Coast Conservation & Coastal Resource Management Department, National Aquatic Resources Research and Development Agency, and others collect environmental mapping data near the Port of Colombo. The U.S. and Sri Lanka collaborated to develop Sri Lanka's first Environmental Sensitivity Index of coastal resources that are at risk if an oil spill occurs in the Colombo-Negombo area.
