BUSAN, Republic of Korea, (October 30, 2015) Sailors assigned to the Nimitz class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), receive a welcome from Republic of Korea (ROK) sailors as it pulls into Busan. Reagan is the Navy's only forward deployed aircraft carrier and is conducting a scheduled port visit while participating in bilateral training with the ROK Navy to strengthen the U.S.-ROK alliance and improve regional stability. Ronald Reagan and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5, provide a combat ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
