Airborne Engineers Jump, Assault, Repair

EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska (June 17, 2015) - U.S. Army combat engineers with the 6th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, seize Allen Army Airfield and begin mine sweeping in preparation for engineers to begin runway repairs at Fort Greely, Alaska, during Exercise Northern Edge. Northern Edge 2015 is Alaska’s premier joint training exercise designed to practice operations, techniques and procedures as well as enhance interoperability among the services. Thousands Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen from active duty, reserve and National Guard units are involved.
