260420-A-FU572-1005 - PHILIPPINES (April 20, 2026) — An Australian Army soldier, assigned to Charlie Company, 5th/7thBattalion, Royal Australian Regiment, 1st Brigade, provides area security while his fellow soldiers exit a U.S. Army UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter during U.S. Army led cold-load training as part of Exercise Balikatan 2026 at Cagayan North International Airport, Lal-lo, Philippines, April 21, 2026. Cold-load training ensures soldiers can safely enter and exit the aircraft during operations. Balikatan is a longstanding annual exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and U.S. military that represents the strength of our alliance, improves our capable combined force, and demonstrates our commitment to regional peace and prosperity.
