III MEF and 7th Fleet Join for Staff Talks in Yokosuka

YOKOSUKA, Japan - (From left) Deputy Commander, U.S. 7th Fleet Rear Adm. Ted LeClair, Commander, U.S. 7th Fleet Vice Adm. Bill Merz, Commanding General, III Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) Lt. Gen. H. Stacy Clardy, and Deputy Commanding General, III MEF Maj. Gen. Paul Rock participate in staff talks aboard 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) in port at Yokosuka Naval Base. Seventh Fleet serves with III MEF to continually execute missions that enable maritime superiority through effective command and control, prosecution of naval fires, and operational maneuvers.
