Philippine-U.S. Exercise MTA Sama Sama Kicks-off with Japan, France

SAN FERNANDO CITY, Philippines - Military personnel from the U.S, Philippines, Japan and France kicked off Maritime Training Activity (MTA) Sama Sama during a virtual opening ceremony, Oct. 11. MTA Sama Sama is a multilateral exercise and includes forces from Japan, Philippines and the United States, designed to promote regional security cooperation, maintain and strengthen maritime partnerships, and enhance maritime interoperability.
