U.S. Air Force and Army medical personnel participated in a medical evacuation exercise as a part of the VIGILANT ACE 16 peninsula wide exercise at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Nov. 5, 2015. The medical evacuation exercise, or medevac, tested the 8th Medical Groups ability to safely and quickly get injured personnel the help they need through air transportation provided by the Army.

Kilo Company Rushes, Eliminates Enemy

Marines with Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, provide cover fire for Marines charging a hill during training exercise Lava Viper, a staple of their pre-deployment training, at Range 10 at Pohakuloa Training Area, Hawaii, Nov. 4, 2015. The purpose of the training was to provide Marines within the company with an opportunity to utilize various tactics and weapons while organizing within the platoons to accomplish a common mission. Lava Viper provides the Hawaii-based Marines with an opportunity to conduct various movements, live-fire and tactical training before departing for Integrated Training Exercise aboard Marine Air-Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, Calif., where the battalion will train and be evaluated as a whole.

Fallen Marines in Nepal Helicopter Crash Honored at US Embassy in Kathmandu

Brig. Gen. Tracy W. King (center), commanding general, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, and the Marine Security Guard Detachment Kathmandu stand in the newly dedicated 'Vengeance Hall' in the Marine House at the U.S. Embassy, Nov. 6, 2015. Six Marines, along with two Nepalese Army Liaison soldiers and five injured Nepalese civilians, lost their lives during an aircraft mishap on May 12. The Marines were conducting humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations in support of Joint Task Force 505, during Operation Sahayogi Haat when their aircraft went down. 'Vengeance Hall' was dedicated in their honor.
