Alaska Army National Guard Supports Community with Multi-agency Exercise

During  the exercise, participants had to be decontaminated before leaving a contaminated area, known as the hot zone.

Preparing for the Worst through Practice: Exercise Arctic Chinook 2016

Exercise Arctic Chinook is a joint U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Northern Command-sponsored exercise on the U.S. State Department approved list of Arctic Council Chairmanship events. The Arctic mass rescue operation exercise scenario consisted of an adventure-class cruise ship with approximately 200 passengers and crew that experience a catastrophic event with the need to abandon ship. Arctic Chinook exercised elements of the Arctic Search and Rescue Agreement to include interoperability, cooperation, information sharing, SAR services, and joint exercise review.

The workshop involved 250 participants from 22 allied and partner nations.
