GREAT LAKES, Ill. (Feb. 29, 2016) Capt. Douglas Pfeifle, commanding officer of  Recruit Training Command (RTC), shows Vice Adm. Jin-Sup Jung, the Republic of Korea (ROK) Navy commander of Naval Education and Training, a personal data assistant (PDA) in the Master Control Room of the U. S. Navy’s largest simulator, USS Trayer (BST 21), a 210-foot-long Arleigh Burke-class destroyer replica, where recruits go through Battle Stations, a grueling 12-hour culmination of basic training and the last evolution recruits accomplish before they graduate.

WHITE BEACH, Okinawa (Feb. 29, 2016) - Amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) departs White Beach, Okinawa after embarking Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) 7. Bonhomme Richard is the flagship of the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group (BHRESG), assigned to ESG 7, Task Force 76, and is conducting a routine patrol in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility.

OKINAWA, Japan (Feb. 28, 2016) - Landing craft air cushion (LCAC) 47 disembarks from the well deck of the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) to return Marines and their equipment ashore at White Beach Naval Facility. Bonhomme Richard is the lead ship of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group and is wrapping up a certification exercise (CERTEX) with the embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit.
