JOINT ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska (Aug. 26, 2014) - A paratrooper with the 1st Battalion (Airborne), 501st Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division fires a Bangladesh Army 1956 7.62 mm light machine gun during a familiarization range at the Rajendrapur Catonement Training Area, near Dhaka, Bangladesh. The U.S. Army was in Bangladesh for Aurora Monsoon, a bilateral exchange and training exercise focused on building relationships and enhancing abilities in operating in a jungle environment and unfamiliar terrain.

Jeff Bryson, commander of 4th Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2-2 Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 7th Infantry Division, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., addresses his Soldiers and members of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, during the opening ceremony for Operation Rising Thunder at Yakima Training Center.  Operation Rising Thunder will allow Soldiers to train with the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force to help increase their combined forces experience.
