RED FLAG-Alaska 22-3 Cleared for Takeoff

EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska - A U.S. Marine Corps F-35B Lightning II assigned to Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 225 (VMFA-225), Yuma, California, takes off during Red Flag-Alaska 22-3 at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, July 29, 2022. RF-A 22-3, a Pacific Air Forces-sponsored exercise, provides a unique opportunity to integrate various forces in a realistic threat environment and dates back to 1975, when it was held at Clark Air Base, Phillipines, and was called Exercise Cope Thunder.
