Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group and Royal Australian Navy Conduct Bilateral Training Exercise

PHILIPPINE SEA - U.S. Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Stockdale (DDG 106) and U.S. Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) transit the Indian Ocean while two Royal Australian Air Force P-8A Poseidons, assigned to 11 Squadron, fly overhead during a bilateral training exercise Dec. 17, 2021. Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group and elements of the Royal Australian Navy and Air Force are conducting a bilateral training exercise to test and refine warfighting capabilities in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
