U.S. Marines with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and Navy Sailors with the Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) man the rails aboard the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage (LPD 23), Dec. 22, 2018. Anchorage, assigned to the Essex ARG, is conducting a partnership strengthening visit to Visakhapatnam, India.  The Essex ARG and 13th MEU are a capable and lethal Navy-Marine Corps team deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to support regional stability, reassure partners and allies and maintain a presence postured to respond to any crisis ranging from humanitarian assistance to contingency operations.
