" Materials are brought to an MV-22 Osprey with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 166 Reinforced, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), during a resupply for the Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) at a Bandaranaike International Airport logistics hub as part of a regularly scheduled deployment of the Essex ARG and 13th MEU, August 28, 2018. The San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage (LPD 23) and the embarked Marines of the 13th MEU conducted a theater security cooperation exercise with the Sri Lankan Navy and Navy Marines. Part of a growing U.S.-Sri Lanka naval partnership, the exercise is also an opportunity for U.S. Seventh Fleet to explore local logistics support services for visiting naval forces operating throughout the Indo-Pacific region.
