SAIPAN, Northern Mariana Islands (Aug. 22, 2015) - Rear Adm. Bette Bolivar, commander of Joint Region Marianas, speaks with Saipan media during a press conference with Steve DeBlasio, the federal coordinating officer for the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands Lt. Gov. Ralph Torres and Lt. Col. Eric Malinowski, liaison for 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. The press conference addressed the military's involvement in disaster relief efforts in Saipan after Typhoon Soudelor and to announce the departure of the Navy and Marine Corps teams from the island.
