U.S Indo-Pacific Command Holds Gender in Security Cooperation Course at Yokosuka

YOKOSUKA, Japan - Capt. Mark Asuncion, U.S. 7th Fleet assistant chief of staff for international strategy and engagement, delivers opening remarks to Sailors attending an U.S. Indo-Pacific Command Gender in Security Cooperation Course held Jan. 14 – 15, 2020 on Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka. The course was developed in response to the need for comprehensive education on Women, Peace & Security (WPS) within U.S. Indo-Pacific Command theater and meets training requirements outlined in the U.S. WPS Act of 2017 and U.S. strategy on WPS.
