The Pentagon’s Pacific Islander & Asian American Community Team hosts an event honoring Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders at the Pentagon Auditorium in Arlington, Va., on May 15, 2024. Event performers included the Taiko Ensemble, the Hale’ Para Agupa, the Cambodian Celestial Dance, Vietnamese Timeless Blossoms, Halau Nohona Hawaii, and a Taekwondo demonstration by Kong’s Taekwondo. Guest speakers included Advisor for Asian Americans and Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islanders, Ms. Barbara Holston, Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force, Mr. Edwin Oshiba, Commander of Coast Guard Pacific Area, U.S. Coast Guard Vice Adm., Andrew Tiongson, Chief Human Capital Officer at U.S. Army Futures Command,  Ms. Hong Miller, U.S. Army Lt.
