YAUSUBETSU TRAINING AREA, HOKKAIDO, Japan - A UH-1Y Venom utility helicopter with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 369 fires during an aerial live fire shoot at Yausubetsu Training Area, Hokkaido, Japan, Jan. 28, 2020. Northern Viper is a regularly scheduled training exercise that is designed to enhance the interoperability of the U.S. and Japan Alliance by allowing Marine Air-Ground Task Forces from III MEF to maintain their lethality and proficiency in MAGTF Combined Arms Operations in cold weather environments.
