JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON,Alaska - Army National Guard Sgt. Fabiana Kirtley, 103rd Civil Support Team, competes in the state-level 2020 Best Warrior Competition by completing a series of events, such as the road march, on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Sept. 4-7. The four-day competition tests Soldiers’ mental and physical toughness through a series of events that demonstrate technical and tactical proficiency. To make it to the regional level, the Soldiers must out-perform their peers at this level.
