USS Wasp Completes Historic Patrol in Indo-Pacific

SASEBO, Japan - An F-35B Lightning II with the "Green Knights" of Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 121 (VMFA-121) lands on the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) following a tactical recovery of aircraft and personnel (TRAP) as the guided missile destroyer USS Sterett (DDG 104) sails alongside as part of a certification exercise (CERTEX). The 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (31st MEU) and Amphibious Squadron 11 are conducting CERTEX as the final evaluation in a series of training exercises which ensures readiness for crisis response throughout the Indo-Pacific region.
