Two Men, Two Eras, Join to Pay Tribute to First Eighth Army General

U.S. ARMY GARRISON-HUMPHREYS, South Korea - Eighth Army leaders joined Gen. Paik Sun-Yup, retired South Korea Army general, and retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Sam S. Walker II, to lay flowers at the base of the Gen. Walton Walker statue outside Eighth Army headquarters Oct. 10. Gen. Walker was commanding general of Eighth Army at the start of the Korean War. Paik and Walker II were accompanied by family members who were all invited to visit Eighth Army headquarters and U.S. Forces Korea headquarters at U.S. Army Garrison-Humphreys. (Photo Credit:
