New Commander Takes rein of 51st Fighter Wing

OSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea - U.S. Air Force Col. John Gonzales, left, 51st Fighter Wing commander, bids farewell to outgoing commander Col. Williams Betts, far right, during a change of command ceremony, June 18, 2019, at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea. Gonzales, a prior 25th Fighter Squadron A-10C Thunderbolt II pilot, will again carry the Mustang tradition. Now, he leads the most forward deployed wing in the world, providing combat ready forces in support of the ROK.
