Mr. Mike Brice is the Deputy Director of Manpower and Personnel Directorate, Headquarters, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (HQ USINDOPACOM). In this capacity, he serves as the principle advisor to the Director and helps lead a staff of sixty-two military and civilian personnel in all matters pertaining to resource management, manpower requirements, dependent education, quality of life programs, reserve affairs and military personnel operations and readiness. Additionally, his responsibilities include support to over 360,000 personnel assigned to the four service components (USARPAC, PACFLT, PACAF and MARFORPAC), four direct reporting units and three sub-unified commands (U.S. Forces Japan, U.S. Forces Korea and Special Operations Command Pacific) assigned to Headquarters Pacific Command. These units provide security, freedom of navigation and "fight to night" forces from the California coast to India-an area of responsibility encompassing fifty-two percent of the globe's surface. Mr. Brice began his current position in April 2013.
As a distinguished graduate of AFROTC from the University of Tennessee, he is a retired Air Force Colonel with over 29-years of service. During his career Mr. Brice served in various operational, planning, security assistance, recruiting and manpower/personnel assignments throughout the continental U.S. and in Asia and Europe. He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of South Dakota and in Strategic Studies from the Air War College, Maxwell AFB, Alabama.
