CASIGURAN, Philippines - U.S. Soldiers and Sailors exit a U.S. Marine MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft during civil military activities from the sea at Casiguran Port, Casiguran, May 15, 2017. By training for humanitarian assistance and disaster response operations, U.S. and Philippine forces are better prepared to provide relief from the sea to remote and austere areas of the Philippines. Balikatan is an annual U.S.-Philippine bilateral military exercise focused on a variety of missions, including humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, counterterrorism and other combined military operations.
