U.S., India Take Steps to Increase Cooperation, Ties Between 2 Largest Democracies

WASHINGTON, D.C. - In this file photo, led by a pair of U.S. Navy landing craft air cushions (LCAC) and Indian Navy UH-3H Sea King and Chetak helicopters, dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42), left, steams in formation with the Indian Navy amphibious trasport dock ship INS Jalashwa (L41), right, amphibious warfare ship INS Airawat (L24), center, and survey ship INS Sandhayak (J18) during exercise Tiger TRIUMP. The inaugural exercise between the two armed forces includes training events that will enhance U.S.-India military-to-military relations and hone individual and small-unit skills in humanitarian assistance and disaster response.
