Warrior Shield 24 is an annual joint, combined, and inter-agency exercise in the ROK that strengthens the combined command and control capabilities of U.S. and ROK forces. PHILIPPINE SEA - U.S. Marine Corps MV-22B Osprey tiltrotor aircraft assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (Reinforced) 262, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), fly over the Philippine Sea, Jan. 30, 2021. Marines and Sailors aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) regularly conduct flight operations while underway to maintain their readiness to respond to contingencies. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the America Expeditionary Strike Group in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
