JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska - Surviving family members, distinguished guests and members of 962nd Airborne Air Control Squadron attend the Yukla 27 25th anniversary memorial ceremony at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Sept. 22, 2020. Yukla 27, a U.S. Air Force E-3 Sentry airborne warning and control system aircraft assigned to the 962nd AACS, encountered a flock of geese Sept. 22, 1995, and crashed shortly after takeoff on a routine surveillance training sortie, killing all 24 Canadian and U.S. Airmen aboard.
