CLARK AIR BASE, Philippines - U.S. Air Force pararescuemen and flight surgeons from the 31st Rescue Squadron out of Kadena Air Base, Japan, stand with Philippine Air Force (PAF) 1st Lt. The PAF pilot joined the U.S. aircrew during a mission to observe different types of flight operations as part of the subject matter expert exchanges. Exercise Balikatan, in its 34th iteration, is an annual U.S.-Philippine military training exercise focused on a variety of missions, including humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, counterterrorism and other combined military operations held from May 7 to May 18.
