171208-A-ZZ999-014.JPG Photo By: Sgt. 1st Class Corey Ray

LIEN THUY, Vietnam - Distinguished guests mark the opening of a U.S. funded kindergarten in Lien Thuy, Vietnam, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, Dec. 7, 2017. The new regional, ten-room kindergarten can support the education of 320 children and doubles as a storm shelter as the region is prone to torrential rains and flooding. U.S. Pacific Command has built 20 schools in Vietnam since 2009 using Overseas Humanitarian, Disaster, and Civic Aid funds.
