MARFORPAC aircraft launch to support Korea Flying Training 2024
240411-G-G0020-1630 SATAWAL, Micronesia (April 11, 2024) Petty Officer 1st Class Joshua Pablo, the EMT aboard USCGC Oliver Henry (WPC 1140), awaits pick up on Satawal, Yap State, Federated States of Micronesia, on April 11, 2024, with an injured 9-year-old boy and his parents for further transport aboard a Pacific Mission Aviation flight to a higher level of medical care in Yap. Upon arriving to Satawal to deliver drought relief supplies in partnership with USAID and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the U.S. Coast Guard crew was informed of the boy's injury sustained when he fell from a tree. The ship's EMT, Petty Officer 1st Class Joshua Pablo, consulted a U.S. Coast Guard flight surgeon who recommended the medevac and provided care throughout the more than 13-hour overnight transit. PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii - Rear Adm. Brian P. Fort addresses his staff as he assumes official command of Navy Region Hawaii and Naval Surface Group Middle Pacific at the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Chapel Aug. 9, 2017. A change of command ceremony with Rear Adm. John Fuller was canceled in June when Fort was notified of an immediate assignment to Yokosuka, Japan to be an investigating officer of the USS Fitzgerald (DDG 60) collision. The Navy has not released results of the investigation.
