Pacific Air Forces Deploys F-35A's to Japan

Pacific Air Forces Public Affairs

JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, Hawaii -- U.S. Air Force F-35A Lightning IIs from the 354th Fighter Wing, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, arrived at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, for a dynamic force employment deployment, December 3, 2021.

During the deployment the U.S. Air Force will integrate with U.S. Marine Corps F-35B Lightning IIs from III Marine Expeditionary Force and the Koku Jieitai (Japanese Air Self-Defense Force) to strengthen partnerships and enhance joint capabilities, ensuring a free and open Indo-Pacific.
