40th Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni Friendship Day 2016 Air Show Demonstrates U.S.-Japan Alliance

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan (May 5, 201) - Pemberton Aerosports executed a flag jump during the Friendship Day 2016 Air Show. Since 1973, Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni has conducted a single-day air show and open house to foster positive relationships between the air station and Japanese hosts. The event traditionally draws more than 200,000 visitors and participants. This year was the 40th Friendship Day, offering a culturally enriching experience that displays mutual support between the U.S. and Japan. This annual event showcases a variety of static displays, aviation performances and demonstrations for guests of the largest single-day event in Iwakuni.

Sgt. Bueno Genaro, 65th Medical Brigade, completes the final portion of the 12-mile ruck march at Warrior Base near Panmunjeom, South Korea Apr. 29,2016. The ruck march was conducted as the final event during the Expert Field Medical Badge training event. The "EFMB on the DMZ" was a two-week training event that tested medical Soldiers' ability to perform a variety of medical tasks to standard. Of the 158 candidates that started the training, only 20 were able to pass all the tests succesfully and earn the EFMB.
